I asked the Prime Minister to help put an end to the persecution of Christians abroad.
Examples of this persecution are harrowing. Cases such as those of Sunil Saleem, a Christian man who was beaten to death at a hospital in Lahore in Pakistan, or of the 33 women in Eritrea who were imprisoned simply for praying illustrate the level of violence involved.
The Prime Minister assured me that UK is taking action and I will continue to look for more ways that Britain can help prevent this persecution in the future.
This is not the first time that I have brought the problem of persecution of Christians up in Parliament, you can watch the Westminster Hall debate that I arranged above.
