I want to say a huge thank-you to the 33,334 people who voted to re-elect me as our MP at the recent General Election.
Whether or not you supported me, I will always help where I am able to and will always work in the interests of the whole community here in Croydon South. We face a time of some uncertainty ahead with a minority Government and Brexit. I will use my vote and voice in Parliament to try to make sure we navigate these choppy waters calmly, that our economy continues to create jobs and that we work to improve public services. There are clearly some messages from the election that need to be listened to, and I will make sure they are heard.
My local priorities here will remain keeping up the pressure to fix Southern, working to improve further Purley Hospital’s service, campaigning against the Labour Council’s out-of-control approach to planning and keeping our area special.
I will also now be re-starting tours of Parliament, which are generally either on Monday mornings or late afternoon on Thursdays. If this is of interest please reply to this email – all residents and their family and friends are welcome.
It’s a huge honour to be able to continue as our MP and I will work hard to repay this trust by working hard for our local area.
