Croydon’s NHS has recently received a £12 million funding boost for local services and help care for people out of hospital. This will really help our local area, and comes as the £21 million re-build of Croydon University Hospital’s (Mayday’s) new A&E nears completion. A year ago, Purley Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit/GP Hub extended its opening hours to 8am-8pm 365 days a year, adding the range of services offered in our neighbourhood.
The recent announcement by the Government of a £20 billion long-term increase in NHS funding across the UK will help healthcare in Croydon for many years to come.
The NHS looks after us all when we need it. I will keep fighting to make sure that Croydon gets its fair share of resources and that our local facilities keep improving.
