On Friday 13th Chris Philp, the Member of Parliament for Croydon South, opened the Laleham Lea Primary School’s new nature trail.
The nature trail was designed to transform the previously overgrown area at the front of the school into an area that can be enjoyed by children of all ages.
Funds for the changes were raised through voluntary donations from the PTA and school governors. At the unveiling a plaque was unveiled thanking the parents, staff and governors for their donations, as well thanking Chris Philp for opening the trail.
Chris said: “This is a great project that has completely changed an untidy and overgrown area into something that I’m sure kids will enjoy for years to come.
“I would particularly like to thank everyone who did their bit and chipped in to make this possible. Projects like this can only go from ideas to reality through the help and generosity of people who are willing to volunteer and donate.”
