Govia Thameslink Railways and ASLEF's strike agreement
02/02/2017 16:31:00

I am pleased about the agreement that Alsef and GTR have reached. Obviously we will have to wait for the details of the deal and also to see if Aslef members vote in favour of it, but this definitely sounds like a big step in the right direction for passengers.

I hope that the RMT do the responsible thing and follow ASLEF in reaching a sensible agreement.

These disputes have been going on for far too long – and it has been passengers who have faced the full impact of strike days. I hope that this agreement is a sign of better things to come for passengers, and we must all now focus on making this railway work properly for passengers.
