Thank you for your support

I would like to thank everyone in Croydon South who supported me at the election on 7th May. I am very grateful to have received the support of so many people in our neighbourhood. It is an honour to have been elected to represent our neighbourhood in Parliament as our MP.

In particular, I would like to thank all the volunteers who worked so hard on the campaign over the past few months. I am very grateful to everyone. It was often hard work – starting at train stations at 7am and working through until sundown – but it was worth the effort.

Going forwards, I will aim to serve in the interests of all residents of the Borough whether they voted for me or not. I would like to see everyone have a fair chance in life, no matter what their background or where they started in life.

Areas of immediate attention will be putting pressure on Southern Rail to urgently improve their service, fighting the plans to build a 16 floor skyscraper in Purley and campaigning to extend the opening hours at Purley Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit.

It is also vital to ensure that the new A&E for Mayday (where work is due to start in September) is completed on time and that the new Westfield Centre is delivered.

If you would like to get in touch, please email me at chris.philp.mp@parliament.uk. I am also able to arrange tours of Parliament, so please also email if you would like to come on one.

I will be available to meet in person at surgeries on Friday mornings in Purley. Please email chris.philp.mp@paliament.uk to arrange an appointment.

I look forward to working hard for the local neighbourhood.
